For Project 2 my group chose to do a project on drinking, peer pressure, the choices you can make, and the outcomes of your action. Students are enticed with peer pressure throughout their daily lives. As teachers you can only give them the information to only hope that when the day comes, they chose to go down the right path. I found this cartoon on a Teacher Talk: Alcohol and Adolescents website. It is an informational publication that is released with educational information to help students on how to address alcohol and other related issues. This is an important aspect of their life that can easily be overlooked since most of us are not obligated to educate in that specific content area. Any projects that collaborate to other subjects is a valuable lesson to be taught.
Pat didn't learn to say no, but Chris learned
not to give in to peer pressure and popular media.
